Jemma has been around the Hair and Makeup industry for 17 years; she started tea and tidy when she was 11 years old, eager to have responsibility and loved being around people.
She noticed at an early age that people would get Hairstyles and Makeup because of what was in fashion and not how they truly wanted to express themselves.
When she started her apprenticeship, she wanted to support people to connect with who they truly are and wanted to create styles by working together with the client to reflect this raw and real side of them.
Jemma supports G2W by working in the background: setting up the communication foundations of how things will get done, like building a solid boat that can carry people to where they need to go.
The moment I heard about the Girl to Woman Festival, I thought, what a great way to support the girls who are becoming women in our society and everyone around them. When we support Girls to become True Women in our lives, we support Boys to become True Men and not what society has told us to be." ~ Jemma Woodgate
