Sarah Davis brings a joy-full understanding of the wisdom of young people and the power they have within to shape their lives and inspire those around them. Sarah comes with a wealth of experience in working with young people, with a background in psychology, health promotion, media, community services and group facilitation.
She has worked with young people of all ages and is currently working with 'disengaged' young people who have left school early, is the Project Manager for the PASH Conference (Positive Adolescent Sexual Health), and co-founder and Director of Real Media Real Change.
Sarah has presented programs around self-care, recognising abuse and building healthy relationships, sexual health, work skills and work readiness, online safety, media and role models and general life skills to build well-being.
As a mother of three, including a beautiful teenage daughter, Sarah is very passionate about the importance of true role models which offer girls and young women a reflection of self-respect, self-love and true confidence. With two sons also, Sarah understands the gift it is for boys and men to experience the celebration of girls and women as it shapes the quality of their relationships moving forward, offering a true marker of respect. Sarah supports the G2W Festival through her connection to community, interviews and podcasts, and supporting young people to express through her facilitation.
Through her work as a media educator, she works with both parents and young people and has a particular passion for raising awareness around the effects of media on girls and young women. She is a regular guest on radio and presents at a number of initiatives throughout the year including the Positive Adolescent Sexual Health (PASH) Consortium.
I cherish this Festival as there is nothing like it in the world - a day spent listening to, honouring, supporting and celebrating girls and young women. This gives our young people a platform to spread their wings and fly - something they deserve to feel everyday." ~ Sarah Davis
