Anjali's Everyday

Picture
Meet 13-year-old Anjali, who shares with us her thoughts on role models.

Anjali
: I love to be my cheeky self & have fun in life. I love animals, doing fancy hair styles on myself & others, make-up, painting nails, dressing up, dancing, swimming, singing anytime anywhere, sleeping, hanging out with friends & laughing, reading, watching movies, chatting forever and experimenting with cooking, especially desserts.

What is a role model?
Originally I thought it was someone you look up to but now I’m realising that everyone’s a role model to themselves and also to everyone else. It’s about taking responsibility for who you are and what you’re doing, every breath, every step…just everything you do.

Who are your role models?
My mum and Dad and sometimes my little brother as well. He can show me different sides, as in his strengths are my weaknesses and my strengths are his weaknesses. So we can either get along really well or not.

Whose role model are you?
I’m my own role model but I could be anyone’s role model, I’m not sure. I guess it’s just up to whoever feels that way about me.

Yep... Your Mom-Dad are good role-models ... In-fact every living thing has some positive characteristics and something to learn from ... The Dogs teaches you Unconditional-Love and the Cats teaches you Shroud-Smartness ... Ants teaches you to work hard for tomorrow and the strength of Unity ... So, if you observe around the nature consists many-many role-models ...
Anjali, Wish you realize all dreams ...

I agree that people of any age can be a role model, children can teach us elders a lot: they can be very wise and remind us to be open, honest and, best of all, play-full.

Thank you for being you Anjali. You are a role model for me. (I'm 66.) I observe how mature (as in wise) and yet playful you are and realise that this is possible for all teenagers if they choose it. Having great parents as role models is a blessing not everyone has. So some kids your age will be looking to you to show them the way.
